Hi there - Has anyone explored the Remix FX plugin? It is a Logic plugin that is automatically inserted into a stereo out channel strip (and only available, it seems) when importing a GarageBand file that uses the Remix FX. I've recently been using garageBand as some extra/alternate inspiration, and come across this plugin.
It's a very strange behaving plugin, and clearly not meant to be edited in logic. However, I'm trying to see if I can make use of it once I move these projects over to Logic. It has no interface (see photo), and the track that is imported contains regions with region fader events above 127.
The only way I've been able to make edits in-line is if I "Convert All Region Information to Track Information" then open the "subtrack disclosure triangle." I can't choose any of these fader events in the main automation parameter pop-up menu, because the Remix FX plugin isn't even listed. But I *can* edit them on the sub tracks. If I don't convert region to track based, then the only other ways to edit are through the event list, or the step editor.
I would love to be able to use this plugin on a sub channel, but it seems the plugin only works on the "stereo out" channel strip. If I option-drag (copy) to another track (say an aux track), and then copy the region with the fader events (region or track based) to that new track, it won't work. And, in this case, when I open the event list - I can see the same fader events, but there is no longer any entires in the "Length/Info" box.
If anyone has come across other ways to use/edit this plugin, or is looking for some deep procrastination, I'd love any input. It would be great to be able to actually make some edits using tracks from GarageBand that use this plugin.
Thanks.
PS - There's one other topic here (/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=140004) that brings up this plugin.
