  1. I'm not sure that's an ideal solution, since most software instruments still will respond to those cc7 events and mess with the mix balance... A midi transformer in the environment should work, an alternative could be to filter the midi cc7 with a midi fx modifier on the instrument channel strips. (The "Control change message 7/10 sets Volume fader/Pan" setting needs to be unchecked in this case)
  2. I've seen this happen before, instead of importing, try right clicking the file and choose Open with Logic, I get 9 tracks here when doing it...
  3. Yup, since I posted I've set it up with an arturia beatstep and use the app regularly, it works great... 🙂
  4. Sounds like it, yes. How can you tell, exactly ?
  5. If you go Logic Pro > Control Surfaces > Bypass All Control Surfaces, does that change anything ? Are you connecting stuff to the "usb hub" ports on the interface ?
  6. Are your firewall settings allowing Logic incoming connections ? Are you using 3rd party anti virus/malware software ? Could you try the behaviour in a new user account ?
  7. Sounds like you've connected the key lab both with usb and through midi cable ? That's a big big Nono in Logic, you're risking project corruption by doing that...
  8. And now that it's working, make sure to copy the .cs preference file to have a backup in case the controller assignments gets messed up...
  9. I'd also make sure "Automatic Installation" is unchecked under "New" in the CSS window... (Although I guess the B+ shouldn't be recognised as an MCU when in user mode?)
  10. How did you import exactly ? Have you tried it following these steps ? Import data and settings from other Logic Pro for Mac projects
  11. Fwiw, it looks like the e-cores are utilised a fair bit on that screenshot ?
  12. Now you need to press and hold the option key when dragging...
  13. I'm guessing this is a midi channel issue, i.e. your Roland kit is transmitting notes on channel 10, and your software instrument is set to respond only to that channel. When creating new notes with your mouse those will be on channel 1, so Superior Drummer won't sound. In the track inspector, you can set the "MIDI Out Channel" to 10, to have all notes going to the instrument "re-channelized" to 10, then all notes should sound... I don't know Superior Drummer, but it's possible you can set the midi channel in there to "all" or "omni" as an alternative fix.
