  1. Ok I think I've fixed it! It wasn't very obvious, almost accidental - after the message came up when I opened Logic, the controller was not showing up as a device in the controller surfaces page. I turned my Axiom keyboard on and off while Logic was open, then the device magically appeared in the controller surfaces page. The message hasn't come up since 🙂.
  2. Thanks for that suggestion - so I tried that, and weirdly, my controller doesn't even appear there, even though it's clearly recognised at the start 🤔
  3. Hi Des, I seem to have managed to resolve the issue - I went to user folder -> Library -> Audio -> Midi Drivers and delete an old M Audio Midisport driver. This seems to have fixed it. Currently however, each time I open Logic, it is asking me if I want to auto-assign controls for my Axiom 49 Keyboard. Wether I select yes or no, it comes up each time I open a project (even if it's a project I've already selected a preference for). Would you know how I could solve that issue? Many thanks Sam
  4. Thanks so much for your helpful response. I’ll have a look at these suggestions when I’m in the studio tomorrow. Sorry about the outdated signature - clearly it’s been an age since I had any major issues with Logic 😂. I’ve updated it now 😊
  5. Hey folks, I wonder if someone can help. I upgraded my OS to Monterey as well as Logic 10.7.8. After loading up Logic I receive two error messages - "Error initialising core midi" and "warning midi services not available". Effectively, can’t use my MIDI keyboard, which is pretty inconvenient! I’ve tried a suggested workaround which is opening the audio/midi application in system preferences before opening Logic, and selecting the studio window, but I just get the spinning beachball if I do this. does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be massively appreciated! I’m on a 6 core 3.2ghz 2018 intel Mac Mini
  6. Hey guys, I realise that this is not a question directly related to Logic Pro, however as Logic is something I use every day and has been affected by this, I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can give me. Yesterday, a strange issue occurred on my Mac Mini 2018 model. I was converting a video file from .mov to .mp4 in VLC when a message can up asking (I can’t remember word for word what it said) about if I wanted it to fix/repair some audio issues. I clicked yes, however since that point it’s almost like a strange filter has been applied over my whole computer audio output affecting the stereo image in a weird way. It affects everything - Logic Pro, Apple Music, web audio etc. It doesn’t appear to be to do with my actual audio interface though. I’ve tried adjusting all the parameters I can think of in the audio/midi settings and on my audio interface too but it hasn’t fixed the issue. I am wondering if VLC installed a random extra plugin or file that has adjusted things... The other strange artefact I noticed is that when I went into system preferences and accessibility and chose to output all audio as mono, instead of making the output mono, it outputs as some incorrect odd form of stereo. I don’t know if any of this makes any sense to anyone, but any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks Sam
  7. This just helped me today - yay!
  8. Sorry David, my mistake - I didn't follow your exact instructions...I think you've solved it! I'll try it for a few sessions and see if it's stopped and let you know for definite. Thanks again Sam
  9. Thanks for the quick response David - unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the issue... Maybe I should have clarified, I'm not using the Korg as a controller, just an external MIDI device. I'm triggering the sounds with my main Axiom 49 controller keyboard. I'll try and explain a bit better what's happening - when I press the 'R' or 'S' button on the Logic channel strip that I'm recording the audio on to, I then notice that Logic's display starts to output MIDI data. I think this is where the problem is happening - it's outputting data to the Korg when I'm pressing 'R' or 'S' and by doing that, changing the Korg's sound in a funny way. So I'm wondering if there's a way to stop Logic from outputting that specific 'S' and 'R' data to the Korg?? To me that seems to be what's triggering the funny sounds! I don;t know if this makes any sense at all? Cheers Sam
  10. Hey folks, wondering if someone can help me... I have my MicroKorg set up via MIDI on a software track with an external instrument plugin (so that I can use Logic's arpeggiator function). It's all working ok, except...as soon as I go to record the MIDI sound from the Korg on to an audio channel (I.e. route the software channel outputs to say, audio inputs 3+4), it's like by pressing the 'R' button to record or even when I press the 'S' button to solo the channel, it sends some sort of MIDI message to the miroKorg and starts affecting the sound in a really weird way! I wonder if anyone can tell me, is there a way to disable specific MIDI messages being outputted to Logic's MIDI out? I'm thinking this may solve the problem, though I'll need to try it and see! Many thanks Sam
