  1. Thanks Jordi. Yes I generally have a copy made in the project folder. I thinking there might be some way to remove the file in some way, since you can clean up/remove unused audio etc. But I guess the only way to do it, after removing the reference to it in Logic, is to manually remove it from the project folder. So steampunk! 🙂 Thanks.
  2. If I don't want to keep old versions of movie file in a project folder, how can I remove it? There doesn't seem to be a way to do this in the file list at the right.
  3. Ive got a large project with a bunch of summing stacks inside a folder stack (each Summing stack is a separate cue). I've been able to move the order of the summing stacks within the folder stack as normal, but now for some weird reason when I do that the stack I'm moving gets put into the stack I want to move it next to, instead of after it. Anyone else run into this? Or have I crossed the streams of doom somehow?
  4. that’s what my guess has been, that iin this particular project it’s been files created by rx9 noise lowering plug-in i used to clean up the picture audio file from the rough cut i’m scoring to. i bounced the picture audio and removed the plug-in. now i’m wondering if i can get rid of those many ara files, but i really have no idea what’s safe to erase and what’s not, which might have been created by that plug-in. the only way i see them is by using See Package Contents on the Logic Project file. i guess this might be a question for izotope…
  5. Right, got that thanks. I’m wondering what steps to take to deal with this? it’s not really workable, i’m starting on a tv project and would wind up with massive job folders if this were to continue.
  6. Turns out I don't have melodyne installed on this system yet. arg. Read somewhere that izotope also uses ARA/whatever it is? I do have much or all of my izotope stuff installed.
  7. Thank you! I guess I should get in touch with Melodyne regarding this? Have you heard of anyone experiencing this issue? I haven't yet used Melodyne on any project on my new MacBook Pro max, I don't think I've even instantiated it on track yet.
  8. Good thought. problem is i have no idea what ara is?
  9. I noticed the projects I'm working on so far in Logic on my new m1 Mac are gigantic. One for example with just a few alternatives is 11gigs! I'd seen a thread about ARA files causing a problem like this. Went into the project file (show contents) and under Alternatives folder found a number of ARA folders with large files, 680mgs or so. If anyone has run across this any info would be great. Alternatively if you've seen that thread if you remember where it is? thanks.
  10. brilliant, thank you David! Is this info available somewhere? i googled etc for it but came up blank or with old Logic info.
  11. Is there a way to do that? I'm moving some projects over from my 2012 iMac to my new M1 macbbok pro and some things aren't coming straight across. This one project just won't open so I'm importing it and the tempo map doesn't get imported. Tried Import Project Setting etc. Should it import? If it should, but just isn't for some reason, is there a way to export and import tempo maps in Logic?
  12. Thank you for sticking with it, very much appreciated!
  13. It works! The issue was not understanding that right clicking on the trackpad just means clicking in the right corner, without holding the control key. If you hold the Control key while right clicking on a trackpad it brings up the contextual menu. Whew, this will be very handy. I use Mute a lot and can set that for right click in both tracks and piano roll. Having velocity easily accessible is great as well. It'll take time for muscle memory to set in of course. Thanks David.
  14. I did set the trackpad preferences secondary click to click in bottom right corner.
