nissenoo7
Greetings fellow logic users, Lately I have been encountering a new problem when recording audio to my projects. In frequent intervals, the recording pops and make wierd fart sounds. Sometimes, the audio track with input from the mic, also gets really noisy, without the gain even being high enough for me to hear my own vocals when recording. Note: I have not changed my set-up before this problem started occurring, and this has not been a problem in the past two years, just suddenly started happening recently. Sample of such a faulty recording. My apologies for bad singing. https://soundcloud.com/nils-andreas-foldal/sample-of-faulty-recording/s-xQJRI Any of you encountered this problem before? I thought it may be due to some bad connections in the "set-up". I have tried connecting different usb cabels directly from the mac to the audio interface, without success. However, I have not yet purchased any brand new usb-cabels to test if that helps. Here is my current set-up: Logic x pro with buffer size ranging from 32 - 256. Macbook Pro (2015 model) Processor: 2.7 Ghz inter core i5 Memory: 8 gb, 8.12 gb storage available of 250 gb total Steinberg UR22 audio interface Pro audio MC03 microphone with amplifier Setup Mic —> Steinberg UR22 —> macbook (connected with usb) Cheers! Solution Atlas007 Posted November 24, 2017 Solution Share Posted November 24, 2017 Might not be related, but the small portion of available storage space left on your drive will cause some issue pretty soon, ifnot already... Besides, have you tried increasing the I/O buffer size?
nissenoo7
Cleared 30 gb of storage and changed the usb cables. Now working! Thanks for the tip, cheap and easy fix !!
