chucknkd
I keep getting random overloads all the time, can't figure out what is causing them. will happen on super slim sessions, and bigger ones I WONT get the errors. also, I left my computer for a couple hours and when I came back the fans are going nuts and when I woke the computer up and checked activity monitor, this is what I got (attached pic). notice that the cpu has high usage of logic but logics cpu meter is barely moving (also in pic). any ideas? thx! c
Atlas007
Some (3rd party) plugins are resource hungry. Also selecting a track with many instantiated plugins will trigger Logic's realtime mode, which is also CPU demanding. Have you tried the dummy audio track trick? skijumptoes
I had an issue with a Safari extension causing my OS to cook like that with the fans. But didn't show on the Logic resources. So at least it looks like your issue is within Logic. If Atlas's suggestion doesn't help then it may be a case of disabling plugins to eradicate suspects as something is utilising CPU when you're not at the screen too. Mania
Fisherking on this board says it all the time : Try restarting the Mac and open ONLY Logic. See if that helps.
