Danny Wyatt
I don't know if that's called "metadata", but when I create a new loop and save it to my loops library, a new aiff file is created inside the User Loops folder. I'm assuming that aiff file doesn't contain all the other data, such as what software instrument it needs to load, the effects, etc. So, does anyone know where that information is saved? I think I saw it one day, somewhere, but I don't remember where. If I delete the aiff file and then reindex all loops, will Logic also remove that "metadata" from wherever that info is? Solution Atlas007 Posted August 12, 2020 Solution Share Posted August 12, 2020 I think the metadata you are referring is actually printed in the aiff file.

You mean an AIFF file can store the MIDI notes, what software instrument is supposed to load, along with any plugins I've used?
des99
Yes, all that stuff is in the file. WAV's and AIFFs etc can support a rich variety of metadata.
