LiquidCrystal
Hey guys, I'm trying to reinstall 'Play' after having some issues with it recently. When I open Logic and try to validate the plug-in in Plug-in Manager, I get the following error message: 'auvaltool quit unexpectedly while using the Play plug-in.' Any ideas what the problem is here/how to resolve it? Thanks!
Atlas007
Have you tried re-installing the Play plugin?
LiquidCrystal
Have you tried re-installing the Play plugin? Yes I uninstalled it and reinstalled but it didn’t make any difference.
Studio162A
Play works ok here, though I'm not sure which version of Logic or Mac OS you're on. It's also possible that another 3rd party plugin is having a conflict with Play. Did you add something else prior to your difficulties with Play? Solution LiquidCrystal Posted June 21, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted June 21, 2021 So I finally resolved this issue by re-installing the software after deleting all the backend components (not sure the technical term) fully first. In case anyone ever has the same problem and finds this thread, I'll list below the files I deleted before re-installing: - Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support - 'East West' - Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > Components - 'PLAY.component' - Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST - 'PLAY.vst' - Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-ins > VST3 - 'PLAY.vst' - Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences - 'com.eastwest.Play.plist' - Macintosh HD > Users > (your user name) > Library > Preferences - 'com.eastwest.Play.plist'
