buzzholland
HI, When I attempt to load samples into DMD, after a couple, it keeps creating new instances of DMD instead. What am I doing wrong, please? thanks, Buzz
Atlas007
What your system's specs? Which precise Logic version are you using? Please give details on how you are proceeding.

David Nahmani
When I attempt to load samples into DMD, after a couple, it keeps creating new instances of DMD instead. How do you load the samples into DMD exactly?
buzzholland
HI David. I dragged them over from my desktop. First two worked ok, third one would start another folder. Tried it with a few samples. Oh, I should add that I dragged them specifically to where you get the drop down menu that leads to DMD. David Nahmani
Oh, I should add that I dragged them specifically to where you get the drop down menu that leads to DMD. Every time you do that Logic creates a new instance of Drum Machine Designer. If you want to use your samples in one single instance of Drum Machine Designer then keep the DMD plug-in open and drag the sample directly onto one of the cells. buzzholland
Thanks for clarifying that. I have tried but it doesn't always take, but now I know the correct method and I will stay at it. Grateful for your response! Buzz

buzzholland
HI David, Try as I might, when I drag samples directly into the DMD, they just bounce off and don't stick. The samples are wavs from Gabe Miller's $5 sample pack, pretty easily found. What must I be doing wrong? thanks, Buzz

If you drag and drop one to an audio track, open the file browser (F), you can see that information listed there:
buzzholland
Thanks David, There was something wrong with that sample pack, or something. They weren't really "there". I don't get it, but I tried some other samples, and now DMD is working! Much obliged, and all the best! Buzz
