ms54321
Hi, when I'm playing in Mainstage everything sounds fine - no distortion, sounds clean. When I record and listen to the recording there is distortion (mostly when there's multiple instruments playing at a time, swells, crescendos etc). I've tried WAV, CAF, AIFF - get the same result with each. Can someone please advise. Thanks

ms54321
One has to ensure maintaining output levels always well below 0dB... Thanks, sorry I'm quite new to this stuff, so I see the Output1+2 level rising towards the top and hitting the top sometimes while I'm playing - but there's no actual distortion while I'm playing, only when I play back the recording. Is there a reason why it only distorts in the recording but not while I'm playing - why would that be different. And also if it is different then what can I do to avoid it - is there some kind of setting I can change, or put some kind of limiter on the output or something? Thanks
Atlas007
Here is an article that could be of interest (even if it talks about mixing in Logic)...
