Archetype
Hi folks So i was experimenting with some effects on the output in the mixer, and under "experimental" i found one called "Through The Wall", and i really like the way it makes the track sound, but what if i only wanted a small part of the track and then turn it off and go back to regular output (or in my case, i usually use the "Hip Hop Master Final" setting) how would i do that? Any help is appreciated!
JakobP
I guess the easiest would be to bounce the two versions, import them into a new project, and cut/crossfade as you want it ?
Eric Cardenas
You could insert this channel strip setting on an aux track in parallel with a clean aux. Then you can simply blend between the two settings,
Archetype
I thought of bouncing the track, but i feel like having the entire track bounced would not give me the optimal audio quality. As for the separate aux track, Eric, is there any way you could elaborate? I think i know what you're talking about i'm just not exactly sure how to set it up. JakobP
You shouldn't lose audio quality from bouncing when bouncing to a lossless format as .wav or .aiff (?) Eric's solution is clearly the more flexible, but there is some rerouting needed to do it his way I think.
Eric Cardenas
Here's an example: ProcessFade.zip Feel free to ask more about the specifics if you want.
