Attracks pilot
Sometimes a dimmed number within brackets appears in the track header behind the track name. This is new to me and I tried to find the answer in this forum, but couldn't find it. Any help will be appreciated. Cheers, AP
David Nahmani
That's the MIDI Channel. You can see it on external MIDI tracks, and tracks that trigger a multi-timbral software instrument.
Attracks pilot
Thanks, David, for your immediate answer. Does that number have a meaning? I mean: does 1 say something else than 2 or 3? Thanks again! AP
des99
Thanks, David, for your immediate answer.Does that number have a meaning? I mean: does 1 say something else than 2 or 3? Thanks again! AP 1 means MIDI channel 1. 2 means MIDI channel 2 etc. MIDI can have up to 16 channels of data on one port. If you want a bit more understanding, just read up a bit on MIDI, it will help you out in Logic as one of Logic's two core competencies is recording and manipulating MIDI data (the other one of course being audio).
