Broggers65
Hi, Will Logic export samples using SDS (Sample Dump Standard)? I'm purchasing a DDrum 4 system which will accept the SDS format in addition to its proprietary format, enabling the use of my own sounds within the unit in addition to the DDrum factory samples. Thanks
des99
No, that's quite a specific old format and is quite specialised. IIRC old versions of SoundForge on the PC could communicate with samplers using SDS - SDS is like a specialised form of sysex for samples - I used SDS back in the day to transfer samples from my Atari ST into the sample ram of my Yamaha RM50. Sloooow, but there you go I don't know if any current Mac software will support SDS, offhand... Edit: DSP Quattro does it, apparently: http://www.macosxaudio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=35799
