Reducing hiss and exporting files

Hello

 

I'm using Logic Pro just to correct sound quality, reducing hiss by reducing high frequencies. One, this may not be the best way but 2 it seems that even though in Logic it sounds fine, when I play the exported audio file in iTunes, nothing really seems to have changed . Is there an option I'm missing? Thanks.

Make sure in the dialog box 'bypass plug-ins' is unchecked?

iTunes has some sort of "normalization" setting which might be compressing your audio and raising it's level, thus bringing back your hiss.

 

Izotope's RX4 does a great job removing hiss and hum... and way more.
