Holger Lagerfeldt
Is there any way to remove this constant popup when I open Logic Pro X? I'm not interested in downloading any more sounds for this particular rig.

Holger Lagerfeldt
None of you fine folks with an answer to this one? It's nagging me.
Eric Cardenas
What have you downloaded so far according to Logic? Have you tried re-downloading the Essential sounds?
thalund
Feeling the same here. I'm generally annoyed by notifications, I find them intrusive – even a benine one like this. Why on heck doesn't it come with a "don't show again"-option? // René
GeeMan
Is there still no simple solution to this one? "Why on heck doesn't it come with a "don't show again"-option?" Apple seem to be odd about user options - IMO. I asked for a "remove" or "Skip missing files and remove from project list"button on startup in the 90's. To this day, we all have to go in a manually delete files from the pool, at a point when we are trying to start a project and/or be creative without distractions. They actually stopped us from permanent delete from the arrange window too.
David Nahmani
Indeed all those alerts get really annoying after a while. It would be nice if Apple could provide more options. I love the "Skip missing audio files and remove their references from this project's audio file browser" option!!! Yes please!
Solution Redux Posted July 3, 2020 Solution Share Posted July 3, 2020 Hey folks, figured out a simple fix for this. In "System Preferences," disable "Notifications" for Logic Pro X. Also, in Logic Preferences, I recommend setting the "General" preference for "Startup Action" to "Ask." This now has Logic Pro X 10.5.1 opening very quickly for me, within 2-3 seconds, whereas before it took over 10 seconds and prompted me to download the "New Sounds Available" every time. I found this forum while searching for an answer to this, and since it was left unanswered I hope this helps, but I suspect you've figured it out by now. David Nahmani
Yes! Thanks for adding this information to this thread. This is a new-ish feature that wasn't available as of this thread, still it can help people who do searches and end up here. So thanks. And welcome to Logic Pro Help!
