Whiterooms
Hello friends. I'm new to the group and this is my first post. I'm getting annoyed at the 'Join' function in Logic X. I used to comp tracks, mainly vocals to get rid of breaths and headphone bleed etc by chopping out unwanted bits, fading the in and out of the remaining track and merging the tracks together. This would create silence in-between the good bits. When I try to do the same with 'Join', Logic just puts all the deleted bits back in the track ignoring the fades. Can anyone help me? Do I have to do a bounce every time.. Annoying! Thanks in advance. My name is Dan
Eric Cardenas
Logic has always had a heal effect when using merge/join but as of 10.1 something has changed. The problem is that the new implementation of realtime fades is not being taken into consideration. (I would say that this is an oversight) The workaround is to insert a little piece of empty audio somewhere on that track. This will force Logic Pro X to re-render the regions into a new audio file.
