larsmagnus
I´d like to replace several silences with an Apple loop. They are not coming in a regular pattern. I can do this manually of course, but perhaps someone have a smart trick for this? I have never done sidechaining and stuff like that, but I suppose I`m searching for something that will analyze silence on one track and then sort of "ungate" and open the other track during the silences.. David Nahmani
Try a sidechained compressor with an extremely high ratio setting (in fact you may want to put 2 or 3 similarly set up compressors in series for this). Insert the compressor on the track that should fill the silence, and use as the sidechain the track that plays in between the silences.
