Alsklaftsk123
Hi! I´m currently working on some orchestral stuff using software instruments and midi. I like to mark all the midi items when editing so i see all the notes going on (so i get a better overview). The problem is that when i´m drawing midi this way, i can´t figure out how to choose the specific track to write the note to. How do i choose this? Henry Plawthiccens Jr.
I could have sworn you used to be able to option-click the track header to do this... However that doesn't seem to work for me. Perhaps it's just a bug? Maybe it will work for you.
Jangus
I tried this here and it seems to work. You can set a different color for each region first. Then Shift-click multiple channel strips and they all should show in the piano roll together in their different colors ? Seems to work for me. Daggilarr
You can set up multiple piano rolls, I have a screen-set for 3, one above the other.
Jfever
If you have multiple piano rolls in a screenset, does it require selecting all regions first? I'm still new to screensets I guess.
Daggilarr
No just open a piano roll window, size it, open another size and so on. Then you use the link button, so top window link on, pick track, link off, next window link on, pick track, link off and so on. Whatever Piano roll window has the link button on allows you to flick between regions/tracks. Sometimes you have to scroll sideways to get the playhead lined up in all three. You also get to retain the velocity colours this way, which I like.
