afroboogie
Hello Sorry if this is a total noob question but i hope someone can help me. I have a problem with my midi setup in logic and cant figure it out... I have just set up a synth module (SE1X) which is connected to my MOTU ultralite's midi port, I have an Axiom controller keyboard connected via usb as my master midi controller. I am using logic's external instrument plugin to record the midi and monitor the audio, It all seems to be working except for one problem. In logic i have a stylus RMX setup, with a multi instrument cabled to it in the environment, the 8 midi channels on from 1-8 are active. My SE1X is sending and receiving midi on channel 1. the problem is that if i play a midi sequence in stylus RMX midi channel 1, it also triggers the SE1X somehow, even keypresses while the RMX midi channel 1 is selected also triggers the SE1X. I realise both these instruments are set to receive midi on channel 1, but what I don't understand is how they are somehow sharing the same port .. how does midi going too an audio plugin also mange to goto an external instrument? confused??? any help appreciated. fader8
Just to reflect the answer I gave you on the Apple Logic forum, you have your RMX multi-instrument port set to "All". Just turn it "Off".
