kosi
Hi there ! I am working with Logic 7.2.3. I changed from ProTools HD2 to a MacPro/Symphony. (okay, I'm trying...) When I open my old songs in the new Mac, all my 9 Multi_Instruments, which are connected to Gigastudios, have suddenly their program switch boxes checked !!! Which wasn't the case before. So, in the moment, I click on a Multi Instr track, my programs change. Any tipps, how I can avoid this ? regards to everyone, kosi
David Nahmani
Uncheck the program change boxes, and save? Also uncheck "Send after loading" (or something like that) in your MIDI Song settings.
kosi
Hi David, thanks for your quick answer, but this is too much clicking, I have 9 multis and each one has 16 channels, so there's a whole lotta clicking going on. When I'm finished with clicking, I have to reload my gigastudios, cause all sounds are changed. Isn't there a possibility, to block this in the environment ? I was hoping, there's a hidden key command, I don't know. The question is anyway: how can this happen ? Why does Logic change the boxes from unchecked to checked ? thanks, kosi
David Nahmani
The question is anyway: how can this happen ? Why does Logic change the boxes from unchecked to checked ? It certainly shouldn't! I'm not sure what's going on in your song file...
kosi
it's very easy: I take a song out of my old G5 2x2, same Logic version 7.2.3 and copy it over to the new ProMac and there all multis have their prog changes on. This sound lke a small thing, but it's a very fat BUG ! I disabled now Prg Changes in Gigastudio (which is another story) that was the fastest way. But I'd like to know, how something like this can happen. I can post a song, if necessary. regards, kosi
