working with loops - any good orginizational tips?

i'm coming from an MPC background - a nice feature on that machine is you could quickly audition .wav files from sample discs, and then quickly build programs and multis

 

the loop browser window seems confusing with all the options

 

if i wanted to customize the loop browser , say with samples from big fish audios "chill Jazz" disc, can i set up seperate folders etc...and then have that library come up when i open the song?

 

also, as far as sample discs go - do people just load the whole thing on thier hard drive and access them that way - seems you could fill up your hd with that direction (i like sample discs)
