Isaac
Hello everyone! I have some small problem with my logic express 7.2 installation. I created an AUX-Channel to get the signal from BUS1 into the AUX and from then to BUS2 i can mark BUS2 as output for the AUX, but if i click above on the field where i should add the Input source there stands only "No Input" theres nothing listet there i´ve attached a picture, "Kein Input" means the same as No input need help to get this function back picture
David Nahmani
Try opening Audio > Audio Hardware and Drivers and make sure your core audio driver is enabled. If it is, uncheck it, check it again and choose "Try (Re)Launch".
Isaac
i restartet the core audio drivers.. but theres nothing appeard in the AUX input.. this is a real strange problem, i hope i dont have to reinstall the whole App
David Nahmani
And do you have a Bus 1 object somewhere in your environment? Does it work properly? Not sure what driver/interface you're using, but try built-in and see if that works. Try another, brand new, fresh song, after a fresh restart. You can also take this opportunity to trash your preferences: ~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro
Isaac
ok i trashed the file, but this didnt helped. but it helped to set the audiointerface from my Echo AudioFire12 to Internal, then everything went fine.. i could insert the AUX inputs like i want. is my audiofire 12 the problem? not right installed ? or anything else ? David Nahmani
Sounds like its driver is the problem. Make sure you have the latest version for your machine. If necessary, reinstall. What happens if you save the routing with the built-in driver, and then change the driver?
Isaac
oh well i have to denie my post above. if i do the Internal as Logic Audiointerface, i cant adjust myself. i´ve got and bass.lso from some site where the BUS1 is routet to AUX1 / AUX2 / AUX3 then back to BUS2 and this bass.lso works when i switch from Audiofire12 -> Internal G5 sound but i dont can make this routing by myself actually, do i have to reinstall? i have only logic express not logic pro , maybe this is the fault ? i used to have different installations on my g5 in the last year, ive got Logic pro 7.1 from work and had installed, now i dont use this anymore, only my personal logic express, maybe it damaged something of the installation, hum, i dont know whatever this problem is not good... Fred B
i have only logic express not logic pro , maybe this is the fault ? Yes, in Logic Express you can't use a bus as input of an Aux object. Auxes can only be used for processing the outputs of Multi-Channel plug-ins (see manual p. 217). David Nahmani
Wow? Really? Didn't know that. There are some weird restrictions in Express.
Isaac
what can i do then to spllit up my signal into 3 auxes and back to and BUS ? and why does this song template work in logic express when i set the audiointerface to the internal? and when i set audiointerface of coreaudio to audiofire12, theres just AUX2 / AUX3 not workin, the AUX1 workz.. David Nahmani
Assuming Fred B is correct (and he usually is), I will venture that maybe the fact that at some point you installed Logic Pro on your system might have "unlocked" some of the locked features in Express. I've heard before that someone was able to get 128 EXS24 in Express that way, instead of the intended limited 64.
Fred B
I've noticed that opening a Logic Pro song in Express containing features that are not supported actually works in some cases but not reliable in general.
