ok this is the situation : this is an old proyect that i'm just decided to open again after years and its not with logic but its with mac files sistems

i saved(burn) an audio data on "sd2f" format into a 3 cds (on mac) then i saved the same data into my pc laptop to have a backup , after years i just found 2 of the 3 cds with the data , so ok..i just looked at the files that i saved on the laptop as a backup and burned the data that was suposed to be in the missing cd, ..then (and this is the main problem ) my g5 (mac 0s x 10.4.9 1.9 ppc 1gb ddr2 sdram) doesnt reconigse the files coming from the laptop(unix executable file) just the ones from the cd (as sd2f)...

so

my question is :could've something happen to the files when i passed them to windows?/ like a change in the format estructure or so.. ??/???

is there any converter or file restore that can recover the files back to sd2f??... i've tried renaming them and nothing happens

thanks

I believe the audio from sd2f files is in the resource fork, which would explain the need to somehow mangle the file prior to copying it to Windows.

Try dropping a copy of the unrenamed files on Stuffit Expander and see what it does.

click on the file, then do command+i (get info) and look at what the extension is and what it is trying (or not trying) to open it with. could be a simple problem of just adding in the right extension to the file by renaming it or allocating it to open in Logic.
