Ploki
Why is it backwards? top take is on top. bottom is on bottom. yet, when I pack them, they get packed bottom-top instead of top-bottom. Not really important, yet annoying.
David Nahmani
when I pack them, they get packed bottom-top instead of top-bottom. Here they stay in the same order. Can you reproduce the issue in a new empty project, and if yes, can you share the exact series of steps to reproduce?
Ploki
I phrased it badly. What i mean is, if I import numbered clips (inst_take01 to inst_take12 for example) into arrange, they get arranged descending by name. There's no way to change that aside manually repositioning them. So when you pack them in such order (name/# descending), they get packed in the opposite order of internal take-folder takes. Its just the almost non-existent OCD in me that's unsatisfied.

Ploki
Yes! but internal "take number" is reverse, your take3 is now take1 according to comp/take folder, and your take1 is Take3 according to take folder It's nit picking. it just disturbs me a little, because I'm used to things being the other way round when I directly record them. On my screenshot, you can see that: #1 is Inst_take01, #2 is Inst_take02 and #3 is Inst_take03. It would help if you could give steps to reproduce, or a screenshot showing the issue? Ploki
doesn't matter if i add files directly to arrange, or if I add the to bin and then to arrange. have them in arrange, use command "pack take folder" folder gets packed, and the number are reversed in the dropdown menu
David Nahmani
aHA! The dropdown menu!! That was the missing keyword. So I can reproduce this. The take order was changed in a previous version of Logic, but apparently they forgot to also change the numbering in the take folder pop-up menu. I'll report it.
