medusaproductions
Hi guys I have a G5 2.0 with 4 gegs ram for some reason i have started to get slow logic performance on quite a few of my projects. They aren't too big and it usually only happens when I am zooming. There are quite a few number of regions but my cpu isn't close to maxing. Any ideas would be appreciated. xs4is
Two things that come to mind.... 1. How many undo steps do you have enabled? The fewer, the better the performance. 2. I believe I read a post on this forum (or maybe the Apple Discussion forum) that zooming all the way in can act buggy...but I don't remember the buggy behavior. Maybe this is it? Hope that helps. Eric Wikman
Confirmed... I put up a post about this same thing months ago. Never did figure it out. It's just some songs seems to do it and other won't whil zoomed in. Very light songs also sometimes... and no 3rd party plugs in most. It's slows my session down to a crawl. Putting my undos down to 10 still did not work. ( I can do 10 nudges in 2 seconds, so that's not much good anymore.) In Cubase I had undos set to "unlimited" and it never affected anything. Good luck... let us lmw if you figure it out please.
