angelonyc
There are several virtual instruments that are capable of putting processed MIDI out.. Like MusicLab's Guitar line.. It will look at it's two MIDI tracks, (chords, and picking or strumming track and output it as audio/MIDI ).. Apple chose NOT TO IMPLEMENT this in their Audio Units.. This would open wide, guitar techniques, to be used with other synth, virtual instruments..
Dragonwind
Perhaps but let me tell you in Cubase which does allow this (VST) when you have a large template with many Kontakt instruments you end up looking a a massive amount of MIDI inputs and becomes terribly cluttered. I can just see LPX alerting you every time you create a new instance that has a MIDI out and eventually your Environment becoming a disaster. Then too you have to make sure you are not wired into SUM as then a MIDI loop will occur.
