UnknownLogic
Its Express, but I'm sure you guys could help anyways Basically my EXS24 is broken. Whenever I hit pause, it switches instruments. I've tried reinstalling multiple times, nothing has worked. What the heck is wrong >.< And how do I make my own kits in the EXS24 anyways?

David Nahmani
So even if you click the pause button with your mouse? What about the stop button? I would try quitting Logic, moving ~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro to the desktop and restarting.
Plowman
"...it switches instruments." Do you see the EXS loading bar when it "switches" instruments? Is it possible you assigned "next/previous instrument" to what was formerly a Transport command?
HDi
are you using a pre-prepared MIDI file? perhaps one that you've downloaded? if so... open the Event List and check for any metadata that might be changing your patch. oh yeah, and you can't make or edit sampler instruments in Express without third party software like Redmatica - or you could find someone friendly with a copy of Pro to map your samples for you...
