beat.ethics
hi, ive been a logic user now for about three years, and know most basic operations, but im yet to full explore midi capabilites and what the environment can do. iv recently aquired an old yamaha electronic drumkit, yamaha dd-14 to be precise. it has midi out, so i can use it as a drum trigger. how, ever the pads are assigned to different midi notes that dont appear to correlate imo and i dont fancy messing around with all my exs instruments. is there anyway i can set something up in the environment that will let assign the pads to different midi notes at will? cheers. David Nahmani
New > mapped instrument. Adjust the "output" MIDI note for each incoming MIDI note. Assign the mapped instrument to a track, and cable it into the audio instrument channel strip.

David Nahmani
Use New > Monitor and cable one before and one after the mapped instrument. Experiment until it works. You're probably not playing or adjusting the right notes. It does work!
