EuanG101
Hi all, I need some help making my midi keyboard play a fixed note velocity/fixed note length. By this I mean if i press a key hard it makes the same sound/duration as if i lightly tap it. I hope I have explained that clearly enough. I am using the latest version of logic pro x and an MPK Mini Mk 2 midi controller. If possible I would like whatever suggestion to be something that would work when I play the keys themselves not just adjusting the notes afterwards. Thanks in advance for reading and hopefully helping with .
ChrisJ
Seems like you have a few possibilities; a) look at the software in the MPK Mini Mk 2 does it allow you to change things like this? b) Look at MidiFx slot in the channel strip - there is a Velocity processor, which if put to value/range can change globally all the midi notes velocity to a specific velocity, regardless. c) Look on here for examples using the midi environment, but afaik that's exactly what midifx does but with a simpler interface. So you might be reinventing 2)
Eric Cardenas
In Logic select the tracks area background so that everything is deselected. In the Region Inspector open the More triangle and set Dynamics to Fixed. Use the Velocity parameter to add or subtract to or from the default value (64). Eric Cardenas
You're welcome. If you are satisfied even th the results you can destructibly apply the to the region by Normalizing the region parameters. Easiest way to do that is by hitting Control - N.
