Maddcow
Hi all. I've been running a separate, optimised Yosemite partition on my MacBook Pro HDD for my live gig use with MainStage over the past few years. With MS v3.3 only being compatible with El Capitan and Sierra, it looks like it may be time to upgrade from Yosemite. I've found Yosemite to be very stable and system-resource friendly, and probably wouldn't be upgrading if MS v3.3 was compatible. Does anyone have particular thoughts about MainStage use with El Capitan or Sierra in terms of the best/optimum stability and resource usage? Or do you recommend sticking with MS v3.2.4 on Yosemite? Cheers Gary
dmbmke
I would try cloning your MainStage partition to another drive, installing it in your MacBook and trying the upgrade to see if it suits your needs. I've had no problems with Sierra and MainStage but it seems every situation is unique with regards to hardware performance.
