portblueten
I need external storage to store my Logic Pro sessions. Will using an SSD make the projects run faster or would it be my machine that does that and is the SSD just simply storage if so, could I look at something like the Western Digital personal storage line? triplets
An SSD won't make the projects run faster, they will only startup faster, since Logic loads most files into RAM. As long as you don't record everything at 192k sample rate, you don't need an SSD for audio projects. 7200 rpm 6TB Toshiba is a bargain now for 180+ bucks. https://eshop.macsales.com/item/Toshiba/HDWE160XZSTA/

That is a great deal, I'll consider it for sure! Another question if that's ok. My machine has 256GB SSD, I'm using that internal SSD to store often and used samples, this won't slow my machine down will it? Also I have a 2TB 7200 internal hardrive using this for samples would it slow down my projects, I heard you should keep everything on seperate drives. Thank you! triplets
Heavy and demanding plugins like Kontakt prefer dedicated drives. Try to avoid filling up your system drive, keep 20 % free space for optimum performance. Keep the second internal for your samples. Use an external USB3 7200 rpm drive for your projects. I would try that first.

Triplets I got some advice today on installing my operating system on the internal SSD? Is this something I should do. I should clarify compose film music, so I run large projects. 70-100 tracks. Anyway I can get things to run their best way possible I'd like to do. Thank you!
triplets
Yes, you can use the internal SSD to put the operating system on and install the default logic sounds. I would install the 3rd party samples on the other internal drive you have.
