Tallmaleuk
Hi everyone, I have an Apple Imac with 16 GB Ram and 2 TB hard drive and 3.8 GHZ Intel Core i5 processor and I am running Sierra version 10.12.2 and Logic Pro X version 10.3.0 Just recently when I try to save a song in Logic Pro x I get the cursor just becomes a spinning ball and carries on like this forever without actually saving the file. I also get an error message which says: "Your system has run out of application memory" Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Many thanks. triplets
Try reducing the amount of Undo Steps in Logic's preferences. Also, try merging some of the regions if you have a lot of them.
Tallmaleuk
Hi Triplets, Thanks for your response. What is the optimum amount of Undo Steps? And have you any idea why this problem has just suddenly occurred? I have never encountered it before. Many thanks.
triplets
I have between 5 and 10 Undo Steps because I hit Save a lot. Command S is your friend. Had too many crashes and lost work because I wasn't saving. Lots of editing steps and lots of regions give Logic a huge memory footprint, hence the warning you get. Tallmaleuk
I just changed the Undo Steps setting to 25 and it seemed to solve the problem. It was actually set to 100 by default! And thanks for all your advice if I have any more problems I will reduce the amount of Undo Steps as you suggested to between 5 and 10.
