Logic Pro X won't recognize record inputs

I just purchased a new Macbook Pro 15" and had Apple migrate the data. Went to record and the message 'no input selected' keeps coming up. I went to Preferences and to audio and selected Personus for both in/out but it still gave the same message. Everything worked perfect on my old MacBook Pro 17" (13 yrs old). Maybe it has something to do with plugging the Personus USB into the USB adapter Apple sold me so that it would fit the new machine?

Hi,

Not only do you need to have an input device defined in Logic's audio preferences, you also need to set the input you want to record from in your channel strip (in inspector or in the mixer). Look for the input slot.
