rsilverst
Hi -- I am using a track stack preset for my backing vocals. I have a bus track that takes the "Slammed Vocal" preset, and then I send all of my backing vocals into that channel so I can process them together. This all works as desired, but the only way I can hear the backing vocals during playback is if I click on that bus in the Track Window. If I click on any other track, the backing vocals are silent, and there is no signal appearing in the meter for that channel. I have attached 2 screenshots for your reference. One is the track window showing that bus. The other is the mixer window showing what I am sending into that bus, and all the patches that are on it. Any help would be appreciate - I am obviously doing something wrong...
Solution Eric Cardenas Posted January 2, 2018 Solution Share Posted January 2, 2018 Choose Preferences > Audio > General and make sure that Input monitoring for focused track and record enabled tracks, is unchecked.
rsilverst
Thank you, Eric! Sorry it took me two weeks to reply. I was traveling/out of town. That checkbox was indeed the issue. Seems weird that would be the default!
JakobP
...Seems weird that would be the default! +1 I agree completely, always wondered why this is the default ?!?
Eric Cardenas
You’re welcome! Seems weird that would be the default! Yup. I really wish this option would be semi-connected to the advanced tools. Choosing to use advanced tools when installing Logic should turn this off in my opinion.
