fmq75
Anyone here still using Sierra? There are Meltdown/Spectre "Fixes"out now for El Cap and Sierra but i`m hesitant to update. Sierra and Logic runs great on my Macbook Pro 2011 (with SSD and 16GB Ram) but a possible performance hit of 30% would be way too much.I can still do everything i need with it but every single % counts with an old CPU like that. kerochan
Happily staying with El Capitan, Logic Pro 10.3.2. all stable. Not budging until I have to, which may a very long time.

loopsinner
Apple just released a security update to help curb Meltdown that also covers El Capitan https://support.apple.com/en-my/HT208465

Lack of this was exactly what I was complaining about earlier
fernandraynaud
And here I was, seeing Meltdown everywhere. When my electric toothbrush started sending snapshots of my molars to Iran, I got really worried ... Good thing they're on the ball! But seriously, has anyone compared performance before and after the patch? BTW, @fisherking, do you think that those who are truly bold, which by definition entails some non-mainstream opinions, want anyone pawing through their personal life?
