heidiroderick
Hi all, I am getting back into making music again after a very long break and I need to update my external soundcard to accommodate some new gear I've accumulated. Sadly, my old beginner Edirol Soundcard is no longer suitable. I'd love to hear some of your recommendations on a decent and affordable sound card that would be suitable for hooking up some analogue and digital synths and to also record vocals. Would also be ideal if it could work with iPad/iPhone, too. Here's my set up: - Macbook Pro 15" 2017 (3.1GHZ Intel i7) running OS10.12.6 (*I also have an iMac, Mid-2012 I would like to use this with*) - Logic X - Novation Bass Station - Cyclone TT-303 Bass-Bot - Maschine MIKRO - Rhode NT1A - Midi Keyboard I'm looking for something in the price range of £150-200 ($200-300). Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks!
Eric Cardenas
I would probably go for the Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 (2nd Generation). It's a decent interface with 2 preamps, 2 line in, 4 line out, and SPDIF line in & out. It also comes bundled with great plug-ins from Softube and Addictive Keys.
