eluke
I updated 10.4 today. And to my surprise I no longer can audio replace recordings on tracks. Create Track, Take Folder or Track Alternative are the only options. What's wrong?
Solution David Nahmani Posted February 8, 2018 Solution Share Posted February 8, 2018 Just use the Replace mode (Replace button in the Control bar).
eluke
Love you David!!! For some reason 10.4 disables this button from my templates. Now everything is fine!

eluke
Good to hear! Since 10.0 this button remained untouched on templates on all versions updates. Never used it otherwise. So I simply forgot it exists... haha. 10.4 brought it to spotlight for the first time. Thanks again. =)
eluke
The truth is that I still frustrated how this works in 10.4. On 10.3 it was perfect: While cycle off: Audio replacing only the desired portion, without erase anything else. (Pro Tools Style) Midi new recording merging with what was previously there. (Pro Tools style as well). All this without have to mess with the Replace button. Now, I have to remember to press the Replace Button to record audio... and also remember to turn it off before record midi. Otherwise it screws up. This is drive me crazy. Is there a way to make 10.4 behave like 10.3 on this subject?
