Antaren
My goal is to copy a few measures of an audio region and paste them into an earlier part of the same track, but not do it destructively. My first step was cutting the few offending measures. I went to listen and I am still hearing the audio that I don't want even though those measures are empty. Solution Eric Cardenas Posted February 23, 2018 Solution Share Posted February 23, 2018 Do you have melodyne inserted on that track?
Antaren
Yes. Thank you.

Antaren
I turned off Melodyne plug-in but I'm still having the same issue. I read on Celemony's web page about using Logic and Melodyne and didn't see any mention of audio complications with Melodyne. What am I missing? Eric Cardenas
Ah… Sorry. Melodyne records audio from your track and streams it from the plug-in. This means that you could in theory delete or mute the region but still hear everything from the plug-in. Turning off Melodyne should however fix this. What happens if you move your regions to another track instead?
Antaren
So right now it's a full track of vocals, not just a small region. What I just did, I turned off Melodyne plug in,created an empty audio track (track #2) beneath the first track, and moved the first track to track number 2. I still hear the first track, and you can see from the screenshot that the volume fader is moving in the now empty first track. Eric Cardenas
I don’t see if Melodyne is disabled. Are you sure you disabled it on the correct channel? Disabling the track is not enough.
Antaren
Ah success! Thanks for hanging in with me. In the mixer window on the track where the vocal is, I needed to disable Melodyne in the audio effects slot, not just here: Thanks!
