DaniGordon
Guys and girls, Give me your thoughts, criticism, tips... Is it possible to record drums in a home studio and get decent sound? http://web.mac.com/riodanielgordon/Drum_Recording_Tests/Drum_Recording_Tests_-_Audio.html
David Nahmani
Sounds great to me. I would like to hear the snare "snap" a little more but that's just my taste. Did you use a bottom mic on the snare? If you didn't, I would try adding one or mixing it hotter to get the snare to stand out a little more. No. At the moment I don't have neither a mic nor a spare mic stand for the snare bottom. Well, I have an MXL 990 and a PreSonus Tube Pre that I didn't use on these recordings. It's not the better mic to put on snare bottoms but I can try that. Or I can experiment with different top mic positions to get more snare sound. Also, I will try recording the snare trough the TubePre. Thanks for the input.
