spritex
You probably won't feel limited with LE8. And you can upgrade to Studio later for the price difference, so it doesn't really matter! (Express was enough for me, but upgrading to the hefty box of Studio was too tempting. I didn't really _need_ it though.)
midiatim
Xavi, LE8 is much less limiting than LE7, which was in fact Crippleware (some very basic stuff was turned off). If you have some DJ background, you might want to have a look at the Ableton LIVE demo before you decide to go with Logic. There *used* to be a demo available for LE7; I haven't heard about one for LE8. Anyone?
Xavi
Thanks for the feedback guys............ Ill look at Abletons Demo version for sure. But i really want to work with Logic since its the industries standard. If anyone else has any opinions on whether LE8 is limited for making electronic music? Please share.... prjkt
sorry to resurect an old thread - however the Serato Pitch 'n' Time LE plugin for Logic's time machine won't run on Logic Express 8, it gives the following message: "Error Pitch 'n Time LE cannot run as a plug-in for this program." works fine in Logic Pro apparently Serato/Apple are working on a fix, but it's an indicator that other similiar plugins (if they exist) may not work in LE8
Waterboy
Can you do a Multi-Out with Logic Express 8?? Somebody was asking me about this - and I couldn't answer them! Go figure!
prjkt
i'm pretty sure you can, at least the logic 5 sessions i opened in LE8 before I got pro would open multi-channel instruments fine
