David Nahmani
Here are the default US extended keyboard key commands to toggle the various areas of LP8's new Arrange window. And my mnemonics. • Toolbar: no key command, click the button at the top right of the toolbar. • Inspector: I • Audio Bin: B • Loop Browser: O • Library: R • (File) Browser: F • Event List: E • Marker List: K • Tempo List: T • Signature Changes List: U • Mixer: X • (Waveform) Sample Editor: W • Piano Roll: P • (Notation) Score: N • Hyper Editor: Y • Global Tracks: G • Transport Bar: huh? All those key commands can be used to open the corresponding area when it is closed, close it when it is open, or replace any other editor currently open in the same area. David Nahmani
I needed to remap the R command, was record as default after instalation. Probably on a Mac Book? We're talking default US extended keyboard here.
musick
Yes, on a MacBook. Doesn't seem logical to make those different for different models. Anyway, I have remapped the R I like the new interface, will work really fast when I get used to it.

You have less keys on a Mac Book, and less key commands are assigned. Also, it can get a little annoying pressing Fn-P everytime you need to record, which is why they use the 'R' key command instead. It's a compromise.
musick
That explains.... I soon will be buying an external Apple keyboard anyway, together with a 23" Cinema display
dream
• Toolbar: no key command, click the button at the top right of the toolbar. I haven't bought 8 yet, but on my partner's computer, the ESC button opens the toolbar. This is w/o loading his key settings. /Joe

mauve
Two more:A - show/hide track automation V - show/hide all plugin windows Cheers! Annoyingly the V does not open plugin windows of a selected track but all previously opened from other plugins.
