mrwheet
I suppose the argument against a left-align is that it would seldom be obvious (to the software, at least) which region should be the "target" of the alignment. So it becomes a question of which region to target, and then it cascades into a series of "what ifs" and "buts"... heh... (having done a fair bit of software dev I know this kind of thing can become an endless rabbit hole!)
wonshu
If you do software development then I'm pretty sure you can come up with a keyboard maestro shortcut that will at least move to playhead and with that and stepping down to the next track while cycle is enabled (to exclude regions that shouldn't be moved) or the intermittent keycommand "deselect outside locators" you could select the next region. Yes, you would have to prepare your tracks a bit before starting the macro, but I could see ways of how to achieve this. Wether this makes it faster than doing it manually depends on how many regions you have to do it with.
