Freeze and flatten

If you wish to only flatten the track in Logic, right click the audio and select bounce in place. In order to flatten a track, (Logic lingo is BIP) you do not need to freeze it first. To freeze the track, right click the track header and select track header components, freeze. Now in the header there should be a snowflake that you can click to freeze the track.

Alchemy is the easiest way to resynthesise samples and set a loop. You will need to import the audio in either Alchemy's granular or sampler modes and hit edit to set a loop point. You can set a loop point in EXS but it is complicated and not meant to be used in the way Simpler is. Simpler/Sampler is an excellent instrument and Logic does not have a direct comparison.
