oxband
Is there any sample I can use wit my controller to mimc church bells in Logic? I can't find anything. Am I missing something?!
MikeRobinson
Logic has all sorts of "bell" and "carillon" sounds in its Library ...
fisherking
in the EXS24, look under Factory>Orchestral>Tuned Percussion...
MikeRobinson
It's also worth mentioning that every Library entry is a "mixer setup" in its own right – you can take any one that "sounds good to you" and see exactly how that sound is being made. You can learn a lot about Logic by studying those Library entries, and you can apply them to any other setup. (Even make custom Library entries of your own.) bailhe
Unless pitching the bells to a harmony is important, you can find/download all sorts of church bells in various formats on the web, YouTube, etc. For YouTube, you may need to download/convert the video/audio to audio only. UnivConverter works well for this, but there are of course many other such apps. https://videoconverter.wondershare.net/lp/uniconverter-best-video-converter-brand.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5az6isKL6QIVVBx9Ch1JcgliEAAYASAAEgJC4fD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
fisherking
what bailhe said, above (since my EXS suggestion, above, doesn't really have church bells...)
bailhe
And btw, if pitch is critical, you can try Logic's pitch bend or FlexTime-pitch. Results vary depending on quality of audio, how far you change, etc.
brandeneatsfood
You can find the bells in the EXS24 sampler or you can create them in ES2 by using a sine wave with low attack, mid sustain and decay with high release. Throw some reverb on there too.
