jerrydpi
I have a few questions about sending a Project for a collaboration. 1) How do I send a Project to my guitar player who has an identical setup to mine? 2) How does he open it? 3) Assuming that the Project can be emailed (based on its size), is emailing the best way to send it, or are there better ways (that are free as well)? 4) If there are better ways to send it that aren't free, what do you suggest? Please note that I'm talking about Projects that have about 10 tracks max, and this will be an every now and then collaboration.
fisherking
make sure you save your projec t"as a package" (in the save window); this will embed the audio in the project file. right-click on the logic file in the finder, and zip it ("compress" in the menu that pops up). then you can send it thru wetransfer, for free: https://wetransfer.com when your collab gets it, he double-clicks it, and... voilá! logic file... robinloops
If you prefer to work with folders instead of packages, you can still save it as a folder but have to make sure all the assets are included. Zip the folder. Usually projects are too large to send in email. I use Dropbox sometimes.
