fastfourier
Hi all. After a sleep/wake, I have blank meters and no output. Audio from browser/VLC etc still works. I have to switch to another audio device and back again to get it working. I am using built-in output with nothing else connected to the computer. I trashed preferences, and there is nothing obvious in the logs. I tried it with another user account, and everything works fine. Anyone ever seen a fix for this? triplets
Do you quit Logic before you put the computer to sleep?
fastfourier
Nope, I just shut the lid
triplets
Nope, I just shut the lid Yeah, leaving Logic open and putting the computer to sleep can create issues when an interface is connected. If you don't want those issues, quit Logic before you close the lid. Most likely a Core Audio problem.
robinloops
Turn off sleep mode (and app nap if that’s still a thing) and don’t close the lid with logic open.
fastfourier
Nope, it's not a core audio problem or a connected interface problem. I made another user account, and sleep/wake works just fine with that. I'm using the built-in output for an interface. I can't see any options for App Nap, but I think it's only relevant when the computer is awake. I've used Logic on this same computer for about three years now with a variety of thunderbolt, USB and Firewire interfaces and I can't remember this being an issue. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if it *was* an issue, but it seems to have just started happening.
robinloops
It’s always been an issue but doesn’t always cause a problem.
