jiq1972
I created a new project to master a track I mixed before. The mix out level has lot of room for mastering (peak is below -7). When I import the wav file in the new project and apply compression and eq all levels remain the same. The project has only one track and no processing is applied to the stereo out (no aux or bus), yet it shows peak level higher than the track (with and without maximizer engaged). Any knows why this is happening? Thanks Juan
triplets
Turn off the Dither on the L1. One reason I don't like that plugin. I'll stick with Logic's Adaptive Limiter any time of the day.
Solution jiq1972 Posted July 10, 2020 Author Solution Share Posted July 10, 2020 Thanks, I found out it was the NX plugin who was introducing that difference between the mix and the master track The moment I turn it off both levels match perfectly
triplets
Excellent! But my point about turning off Dither on the L1 still stands. You should dither with the bounce dialog in Logic to avoid dithering more than once.
