Daddles
Hi, I recently recorded some acoustic guitar onto 2 tracks. Track 1 one recorded direct using the guitar pick up and track 2 was recorded with a mic. Both tracks recorded a single performance. I was pleased with the results but I want to correct some timing issues. Everything I've tried so far including grouping the 2 tracks and phase locking using 1 as a Q ref makes the over all sound a bit phasy. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Thanks. triplets
What flex mode are you using?
Daddles
I've tried rhythmic and monophonic so far.
triplets
I've tried rhythmic and monophonic so far. For acoustic guitar try Polyphonic and check Complex on the Track parameter box on the left. Monophonic is more suited for bass.
johnnytucats
My guess is you'll end up bouncing a mix of the two and working on that. However, I suppose you could combine the two mono audio files into a single stereo file and use Flex on that…is that what you meant by "grouping the 2 tracks"? Daddles
Re grouping, I did what it says here - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201943 I'm not sure how to make 2 tracks one stereo but I'll try it. Will try other suggestions too. Thanks all for your help. I'll let you know how I get on.
David Nahmani
Can you zoom in and check that the phase is correct on both recordings to start with (when Flex Time is Off)?
Daddles
Is hard to tell as the waveforms are quite different but they both start at the same time.
