From a male vocal to a different sounding pitch for the same male vocal? From a female vocal to a different sounding pitch for the same female vocal? Holger Lagerfeldt Posted July 16, 2020 Share Posted July 16, 2020 I'd say SoundToys Little Alterboy does exactly this, and very well. If you don't push it, it can sound both sonically great and change a voice enough to make it sound like a different person or gender. I've used it succesfully to make a dark, nasal guy sound 10 years younger and fresher, which is what we were looking for. This is not a woman in the beginning, but the male singer using Little Alterboy to make it sound like a duet: They basically created a fictional female featuring singer called "Mercedes The Virus" on the whole album.
