bkr1969
I have been working on a new project and just noticed that the sustain pedal is not working at all. I have MIDI monitoring on and I can see the CC64 going to 127 when I press and to 0 when released, but none of my instruments will sustain. It will not record at all either (as verified in the Automation window and MIDI Environment list). If I switch to a new or different project, everything works fine. Any ideas at all? I would even try to manually assign it under controller assignments but I don't see any option to learn assignment for CC64 (or any other CCs). David Nahmani
Do you have any custom wiring in that project's MIDI Environment? Can you record MIDI notes?
bkr1969
I can record notes, just not sustain. I played with it for a couple of hours and found the following. I went back to my original blank template I had used for the project and sustain worked fine. I tried importing the previous project and it stopped. So I closed everything, opened the broken project and imported the settings from the original blank project and it now works fine. It is something in the project settings, but it was late and I didn’t look into it further. I’m still interested to know if anyone has any ideas what could have gotten changed and how. Thanks. It could have been a selected "Control Changes" checkbox in File > Project Settings > MIDI :: Input Filter.
